A day in the office 18/07/2011

A press release is being issued to the media today on behalf of all our markets.

It focuses on the positive note that Country Markets are experiencing a resurgence of interest in the organisation. In the month of June alone 21 new members joined existing markets and there were 6 enquiries about setting up new markets. Check out the press release on irishpressreleases.ie

Communications continue with the TG4’s researcher about a branch market being featured on their Summer programme An Samradh Linn. They have decided on Donegal and so we must ensure both Irish speaking producers and customers are available. This has not being confirmed but I believe we should be well prepared for such an event. We need to inform the public as to who we are and what we do.

Everyone should have a copy of the feature article which was sent out on 15/06/2011 to each market chairman and familiarise themselves with the content, so the key messages we send to the public become familiar.

An agenda for the next commitee meeting was drawn up and sent out.
